ASD Club

Our Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) club runs on Saturdays from 10.00am to 4.00pm during term time. The club presents opportunities for our clients to go into the community and participate in a range of recreational and stimulating activities including trips to the cinema, boat trips, bowling and more. Through regular interaction with their peers, our clients enjoy the opportunity of being part of a community. We cover clients from a variety of South-East London boroughs, funded directly through local authorities or personal budgets.

Once a referral is received, prospective learners are individually assessed in order to determine their suitability, after which an Individual Educational Plan is prepared, focusing on their assessed learning needs, skills and targets. Depending on individual learners’ choices, such an assessment can be so arranged as to take place either at their homes, their schools or, if preferable, within the centre itself. After each assessment, learning profiles are set for all young adults in collaboration with their parents and social workers, and robust risk assessments are formulated in order to ensure that each learner receives the appropriate level of support, and to ensure their full safety.
