JOB PURPOSE:
- To contribute to the work of a residential and supported living group home as a team player with Right Support Management, to meet the highest quality standards of care and the requirements of the relevant local authority’s Care Homes Inspection Unit, ensuring that the resident’s needs are met.
- Under the direction of the Service Manager, and senior support workers, support and empower residents to develop skills that ensure they experience the highest possible quality of life.
Abstract on main duties and responsibilities
- maintain good relationships with residents, their families and advocates,
- ensure that they are consulted and supported through changes / developments that may affect residents’ lives
- ensure that residents are fully involved in decision-making processes that affect their lives.
- assist residents where necessary with feeding and personal care
- protect residents and contribute to protect them from abuse
- support and enable residents to achieve their full potential in all forms of communication.

SUMMARY:
Care home managers are responsible for the leadership and day-to-day running of residential care homes and supported living accommodation services for adults with support needs. Care homes are specialised services, especially for people living with mental health issue, and you’ll be responsible for homes that provide all year, round-the-clock care.

- – promoting residents’ rights and duties and encouraging them to join activities
- – helping residents to access local services and take part in the local community

- – recruiting, training and supervising staff

JOB PURPOSE:
The work focuses on areas such as health care for clients, staffing, budgets and spending, monitoring quality, overseeing health support needs for clients.
Organising the provision of healthcare in our services which includes strategic management, goal setting, and supervising the management of all Right Support Management’s projects and client groups.
Abstract on main duties and responsibilities
As a Health Service Manager, you’ll need to:
- oversee day-to-day operations of the organisation’s care support system and its service provision
- gather and analyse data, using it to plan and manage both projects and systems
- Manage professional, clinical, clerical and administrative staff
- implement new policies and directives in accordance to the current legislation of Health and Social Care and The Care Act
- Manage the recruitment, selection, appraisal and development of healthcare staff
- Liaise and negotiate with management and with people in external organisations, e.g., social services, voluntary groups or the private sector in determining accurate health support needs for our services
- extrapolate data for quality assurance and monitoring purposes
- manage support plans and service delivery agreements
- plan and implement strategic changes to improve service delivery
- organise clinical governance and audit
- administer appropriate use of equipment and supplies to clients with special support needs
- Train and organise junior staff members and support workers on administration of medicines and healthcare equipment and equipment storage
